Warren, Price reach 20 wins

Third-seeded San Francisco (88-74) will face sixth-seeded Vancouver (89-73) and fourth-seeded Sardine City (87-75) will take on fifth-seeded Allentown (91-71) in the first round of the 2015 playoffs, which open on Thursday.

The Experience clinched the No. 3 seed behind Adam Warren. The right-hander finished off a Cinderella season, going an efficient 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run, to earn the win over Arkansas (93-69). Warren (20-6) finishes the year tied with Dallas Keuchel and David Price with 20 wins to lead the league, and second in ERA at 2.06.

Tucson (97-65) finished the regular season as the No. 1 seed and Arkansas (93-69) secured the No. 2 seed. Both will have a first-round bye.

Price (20-10) joined Warren in securing his 20th win in the season finale. He went the distance for Allentown, striking out 10 and limiting Empire City to just 5 hits and 1 run in a 6-1 victory.

Sardine City dropped a 3-2 decision to Tucson (97-65) to finish with the No. 4 seed. Gerrit Cole left with an injury in the fourth winning while Madison Bumgarner struck out 11 over 8 innings to power the Scorpions.

Hopatcong (88-74) defeated Hoboken (74-88) behind a Pedro Alvarez grand slam, 8-6, but it wasn't enough to overcome Vancouver's win, and so the Floating Fish finished 7th overall, 1 game back of Vancouver for the playoffs.

The Iron Fist swept Hillsborough, with Johnny Cueto (14-10) going the distance despite 10 hits an 4 runs to finish the year as the league leader in innings pitched (253). Max Scherzer also went the distance in his loss to Hopatcong, finishing second to Cueto with 246.3 innings pitched, but 14-18 overall.
