Blanco, 2 relievers record Merrill Creek's 1st no-hitter

Ronel Blanco, Jason Adam, and Tayler Scott combined on a no-hitter Friday night as  Merrill Creek blanked Allentown, 6-0 behind two home runs from Alec Burleson.

2018 Kevin Mitchell Award winner

Allentown's Mike Trout out-polled 13 other players receiving votes on his way to his second Kevin Mitchell Award as the league's best batter in 2018. He's the third player in DMBL history to have more than one Mitch, joining former Philly teammate Albert Pujols (2009-10) and Barry Bonds, who won three with Arkansas (2002, 2004-05).

Three-homer fever has spread to Tuscon. Kingsnakes 3B Nolan Arenado launched a trio of home runs on Wednesday and Tucson was the victim of three home runs the very next night by Philly's Tommy Joseph.

Nelson Cruz powered the offense with a 3-run home run and Zach Greinke delivered a fine performance over 7 innings to give No. 1 Tucson a 5-3 win over 5th-seeded Allentown in Game 2 of their semifinal tilt.
