Allentown 1st rounder Max Muncy collected all six 1st-place votes, marking the second consecutive season for an unanimous winner of the DMBL's rookie of the year award. In 2018, Empire City's Aaron Judge took home the award after sweeping all five 1st-place ballots.
Voting was based on a 5-3-1 system:
Muncy, ALN: 6-0-0------>30 pointsThe No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 draft, after Poovey Farms selected Brandon Nimmo, Muncy led first-year players in most every significant batting categories, including home runs, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, OPS, and strikeouts, as well as SABR-metric categories like runs created, RC/27, isolated power, total average and secondary average. He also found himself among the league's leaders in those categories, which could garner him consideration in the race for the Kevin Mitchell Award, recognizing the season's best batter as his hitting helped the Mules to a 90-72 record and the Hernandez Division title.

Hoboken's Jack Flaherty received votes on five of six ballots cast, finishing 3rd, thanks in part to 4 3rd place votes to go with a single 2nd place ballot. Hopatcong 3B Miguel Andujar finished 2nd overall after receiving 3 2nd-place votes.
Livingston's Juan Soto, who will have to console himself with his DMBL postseason MVP award, finished 4th thanks to a 2nd place vote and a 3rd place vote. Shohei Ohtani of Poovey Farms, the first two-way player in DMBL history, garnered one 2nd place vote to finished 5th in balloting. He took the mound for 29 starts in addition to being the primary DH versus right-handers for the Dairy Cows.
