2019 pitching leaders

There was no lack of solid campaigns by pitchers in the DMBL in 2019 but nothing quite spectacular.
No 20-game winners. The ERA king approached 3.00. Even the saves leader finished with a ho-hum total.
About the only eye-catching stat might have been Max Scherzer's league-leading 327 strikeouts, good for 5th all-time, just behind Corey Kluber (330 in 2018), Pedro Martinez (347 in 2000), Randy Johnson (349 in 2001) and Chris Sale (367 in 2018). In fact, two pitchers eclipsed 300 on the year, with Hillsborough's Justin Verlander at 301 and Livingston's Gerrit Cole falling just short with 297.

There were two no-hitters in 2019: Hillsborough's Blake Snell, followed by Tyler Glasnow of San Francisco.
