2020 Kevin Mitchell Award winner: Christian Yelich

Christian Yelich secured a triple crown of sorts in 2020, leading the league in batting, on-base percentage and slugging, along with a number of other categories. The offensive explosion in his seventh DMBL season was enough to win the 2020 Kevin Mitchell Award as the league's top batter, comfortably outdistancing teammate Cody Bellinger.

Sardine City holds on to take Game 1

Corey Kluber struck out 11 and limited Tucson to just 1 run after a bases-loaded, no-out situation in the 8th as top-seeded Sardine City opened the Best-of-Seven semifinal series with a 5-3 victory in Game 1 on Sunday night.

Verlander 1-hitter tightens Piazza Division race

Justin Verlander came within two outs of throwing a no-hitter on Thursday, tossing a 1-hit gem to keep Livingston hot on the heels of Sardine City in what is the closest division race with some 30 games remaining.
