2019 Pat Listach Award ROY candidates

Recent drafts may have ushered in a new era, with a changing of the guard among some of the DMBL's stars upon arrival of some impressive youngsters. The 1st round in 2018 saw three ineligible prospects chosen within the first seven picks, including No. 1 overall for the first time ever, along with some fruitful late-round prospects selected the past two years.

There was no lack of solid campaigns by pitchers in the DMBL in 2019 but nothing quite spectacular.

Allentown exploded for 13 runs and Miles Mikolas quieted the Philly bats as the Mules crushed the Green Rage, 13-0, in Game 2 of their 1st round Wild Card series. The Mules grabbed a 2-0 series lead with Game 3 set in Philly.

Ben Zobrist raced home on a wild pitch in the 11th winning and Marietta held off a Tucson rally in the bottom of the inning to preserve a 4-3 win on the road in Game 1 of their 1st round Wildcard matchup.

2018 Kevin Mitchell Award winner

Allentown's Mike Trout out-polled 13 other players receiving votes on his way to his second Kevin Mitchell Award as the league's best batter in 2018. He's the third player in DMBL history to have more than one Mitch, joining former Philly teammate Albert Pujols (2009-10) and Barry Bonds, who won three with Arkansas (2002, 2004-05).
